CBC - Canada donating hundreds of drones to help war effort in Ukraine

Canada announced it would donate more than 800 SkyRanger R70 drones, manufactured in Waterloo, Ontario, to support Ukraine’s defence against Russia. Valued at approximately $95 million, the drones provide reconnaissance capabilities and can carry payloads of up to 3.5 kilograms to assist frontline troops. The donation forms part of Canada’s broader military aid commitment and reflects the growing importance of Canadian-made autonomous systems in modern defence operations.
