FLIR Systems Acquires Aeryon Labs

FLIR Systems acquired Waterloo-based Aeryon Labs for $200 million, strengthening its position in unmanned and autonomous systems for military, public safety, and critical infrastructure applications. Aeryon, known for its rugged SkyRanger unmanned aerial systems, brought advanced drone hardware, embedded software, sensors, and autonomous capabilities deployed by military and government customers in more than 30 countries. The acquisition expanded FLIR’s strategy of delivering integrated intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) solutions by combining its thermal imaging expertise with Aeryon’s proven UAS technology.
